A dedicated IP is a unique IP address assigned exclusively to your Minecraft server that does not require a port number. Instead of players connecting with something like 192.168.65.34:25582, they can simply use a clean address such as 171.81.34.224.
This is especially useful if you want a professional-looking connection address without the extra numbers at the end. A dedicated IP is not a domain name; it is still a numerical address, but it makes it much easier to point custom domains and subdomains to your server later.
Many server owners start with a dedicated IP when they want a simpler connection string or plan to attach their own domain in the future.
Domain
A domain is a human-readable name that points to your server, such as myserver.net or coolminecraftserver.org. Instead of remembering an IP address (with or without a port), players can simply type your domain name to join.

Sub-Domain
A subdomain is an extension of a domain you already own. For example, if you own xylemnetwork.net, you can create free subdomains like play.xylemnetwork.net or mc.xylemnetwork.net.
You can create as many DNS records as you need at no extra cost, as long as they end with your main domain (for example, *.xylemnetwork.net). Subdomains are the most common way for players to join Minecraft servers because they look clean and professional.
